  • Chicago Honey Co-op, In the winter of 2004, three urban beekeepers conceived and created Chicago Honey Co-op. Their original mission was as a job training program, but  has evolved over time into a long term relationship within the community with emphasis on education, healthy eating and awareness of the natural environment.  The organization offers beekeeping classes and hosts a community farm in the North Lawndale area of Chicago.  The organization is moving in 2012 to several new locations, yet undetermined.
  • Bike-A-Bee, an organization devoted to installing bee hives in Chicago public gardens and urban farms.
